With flowers blossoming everywhere you turn, you can’t deny that spring is in full swing and that with it comes the need for spring cleaning and other regular maintenance required around your home. Before you start, be sure to confirm with your strata what you are responsible for and what they will be doing to maintain your home or building. Here are some tips for how to take care of your home to optimize its condition and your comfort. 1. Air Everything Out
The design for the master-planned community of Windsor Gate began back in 2004 and judging from the rapid pace of sales of the newest highrise — The Lloyd — developer Polygon hit the mark right from the beginning. Just two months after the units hit the market, Polygon has sold 135 of the total of 179 homes in The Lloyd, the third of four highrises to be built on the 22-acre site, which also includes four- and five-storey low-rise buildings.
When interior designer Celia Dawson and her team at Polygon Homes approached their work on the display suite at R + R, they aimed to appeal to a crowd of young buyers with an appreciation for urban chic. It was only later she realized her work was as much a tribute to the condo community’s serene Fraser River surroundings as it was a model of contemporary, clean style.
After a busy opening week, over 53 of the 99 homes at Polygon’s R + R condo development have already been sold.
After finding the best condos were often sold before they even arrived at the site, Marius Samoila and his wife Daniela decided to take matters into their own hands. The couple recently set up a deck chair in front of Polygon’s new R + R condominium project in south Vancouver’s River District and kept an overnight vigil. The strategy paid off.“During the night, I took turns with my wife,” said Samoila, chuckling. “I was dressed like a skier.”
Where does one go for the best example of that East Coast Ivy League look? Boston, of course. “Four (members) of Polygon’s team and myself did make the trip to Boston and Martha’s Vineyard,” says Vancouver architect Keith Hemphill. “Having adopted a collegiate theme for the overall neighbourhood, we felt that it was important to go to the source for inspiration. I believe we were able to distil the flavour of the campus environment into elements that we could translate into desired character for this project.”
At the close of 2015, the first two phases of Polygon‘s Brighton townhome community in West Abbotsford were sold out. And now, following last year’s sales success, homes in the third and final phase will go on sale this Saturday, January 23rd at noon sharp.
