Polygon's Roycroft at Windsor Gate
“A milestone” is how a Polygon executive describes the pending completion of a resort-style clubhouse at its Windsor Gate development in Coquitlam.
Standing before over-height windows that will overlook a large water feature and lush landscaping, Ralph Archibald, Polygon’s senior vice-president for sales and marketing, says of what will be a fully equipped fitness centre: “If this isn’t a super popular spot, I’ll be shocked.”
The Nakoma Club — named for a series of sculptural figures created by celebrated American architect Frank Lloyd Wright, whose work has influenced Windsor Gate — will also include a full-sized gym, fitness studio and massage therapy room. A “great room” lounge will overlook the outdoor swimming pool and terrace.
“Polygon is well known for its clubhouses, and this is the largest one we’ve done,” says Archibald of a company that has built more than 19,000 homes in the Lower Mainland over 30 years. The complex of 18,000 square feet, to open in early July, will include a teen lounge, party room, screening room and second-floor guest suites. A concierge will manage the facility.
