A Polygon signature element at many communities is the private resident clubhouse. I am fortunate to be the concierge at the largest clubhouse Polygon has ever built – Nakoma Club at Windsor Gate.
As the true gathering place of the community residents really appreciate and enjoy the various activities that Polygon hosts - they allow residents the opportunity to meet and cross paths with neighbours they might otherwise not have met.
Each week we have Coffee Connection where a coffee and tea bar is set up for residents as they meet to chat, read the paper and enjoy a hot beverage! Movie nights, candlelight yoga, book club and family gym time are just a few of the regularly scheduled clubhouse activities.
Now with school almost out for the summer, barbeque season is in gear and residents of all ages are enjoying a wide range of summer activities at Windsor Gate. It’s remarkable to think that almost a year has passed since the Nakoma Club opened its doors to Windsor Gate residents in August 2011. And what a year it has been!
Bring on the Summer Sun!
As we anticipate warmer weather, the Nakoma Club will increasingly become the place to be. In addition to the weekly activities, BBQ’s and pool parties I would like to highlight a few fun upcoming events for July.
- A School’s Out Party is planned for the kids of Windsor Gate to celebrate their two month break from the books.
- Canada Day festivities will be taking place at the Nakoma Club in conjunction with the citywide celebration at Coquitlam’s Lafarge Lake.
- As the world gears up for London 2012 we look forward to kicking off the Summer Olympic Games with a special opening ceremonies viewing party.
Be sure to check out the Nakoma Club on Facebook for the latest and greatest clubhouse news.
If you’re in the neighbourhood and interested in visiting the Nakoma Club I’d be happy to show you around. Thomas House is the next collection of apartment residences at Windsor Gate, and the sales office is scheduled to open later this summer. Click here for more information.
See you at the clubhouse!
Nakoma Club Concierge

I started working with Polygon as the Nakoma Club concierge in August 2011 in the master-planned community of Windsor Gate in Coquitlam. My role at the clubhouse is to facilitate community building activities and events. It’s been wonderful to connect with residents on a daily basis as they spend time at the Nakoma Club or pop in to say hi.
